Oxford Open Doors is an annual celebration of Oxford across all walks of life, its places and its people and we are pleased to be opening our doors to visitors!

Designed by Sir Christopher Wren, the Sheldonian Theatre is the University’s ceremonial hall and a popular event venue.

Visit us on Sunday 15th September, to enjoy a spectacular 360˚ view of Oxford from the cupola, and search for the hidden wren amongst the Emperor’s Heads.

Our tour guide will be providing 15-20 minute historical talks every half hour between 10:30 -12:30; and then again from 13:30 – 15:00 – a fantastic chance to hear more about this historic building.

The Pavlova Wind Quartet will close the Open Doors celebrations with a free classical recital at 16:00. This ensemble were formed, and are based in Oxford.
